The iRayUSA PICTAIL & MQD Mounting System, developed in partnership with American Defense Manufacturing, brings together two worlds: the strength of a MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail with the agility of a dovetail night vision mount. iRayUSA and American Defense Manufacturing joined forces to create the PICTAIL & MQD mounting system, redefining how thermal and night vision optics transition between helmets and weapon platforms. The PICTAIL shoe merges the familiar dovetail used in helmet-mounted night vision with the robust MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail, offering unmatched adaptability.

When paired with the ADM MQD mount, the system provides adjustable rear offset—from 4.5 inches in standalone mode to just 1.5 inches in clip-on mode. This flexibility makes the PICTAIL and MQD the ideal solution for thermal clip-ons and dual-use optics, especially on short-barreled rifles (SBRs) and other compact setups.

Whether you’re transitioning from helmet to weapon or maximizing space on a compact rail, the PICTAIL & MQD system delivers fast, lightweight, and repeatable performance.

If they cannot repair an optic in less than one week, they will offer a replacement in like or better condition. The warranty follows the product, and is not tied to the original owner. The warranty period is tied to the date of sale to the dealer or end user registration. This warranty only covers normal use and does not cover cosmetic damage, normal wear, intentional damage, theft, loss, any act of God or a condition caused by use other than intended. Any product that is modified, opened or tampered with will void any warranty coverage.
