Extremely Clear 640×512 Thermal Image

The MINI2 H25 uses a 640×512, 12 μm thermal sensor with a listed thermal sensitivity of ≤15 mK.

Southern Precision Outdoors has used this unit in the field, and the thermal image is extremely clear. Animals stand out well, but the MINI2 also provides enough environmental detail to make out fields, roads, trees, fences and other terrain features.

Reality+ image processing works with the sensitive thermal detector to produce a detailed image across changing weather and thermal conditions.

Smooth 60 Hz Imaging

The MINI2 operates at a fast 60 Hz refresh rate, which is important when the unit is mounted on a helmet.

The faster frame rate keeps the image smooth while walking, turning your head, riding or scanning a field. This helps the MINI2 feel more natural during movement than slower thermal systems that may show noticeable image lag.

Thermal, Digital Night Vision and Fusion Modes

The MINI2 H25 gives users three different viewing options from one device.

Thermal mode is best for quickly locating hogs, coyotes, livestock, wildlife and other heat sources. Digital night vision provides a more familiar view of roads, fields, fences and surrounding terrain.

Fusion mode overlays thermal information onto the digital night vision image. The position and opacity of the overlay can be adjusted to help align the thermal and digital images for different distances and environments.

True 1X Magnification with a Wide Field of View

The MINI2 starts at a true 1X native magnification and has a wide 17.6° × 14.1° thermal field of view.

That unmagnified view is a major advantage when walking, scanning and using the unit on a helmet. It provides better situational awareness than a higher-magnification thermal and makes movement feel more natural.

Digital zoom settings of 1X, 1.5X, 2X and 4X are available when additional magnification is needed.

Digital Night Vision for Walking and Driving

Southern Precision Outdoors has used the MINI2 H25 for walking fields and driving farm roads on private property after dark.

With supplemental IR illumination, the digital night vision channel provides enough visual detail to see roads, terrain, fences and other obstacles while moving at a controlled speed. Thermal mode can then be used to locate animals and other heat sources that may be difficult to see through the digital channel.

Supplemental IR improves the digital night vision image. It does not affect or improve thermal mode.

The MINI2 should not be relied upon as the only means of vision while driving and is not intended for public-road driving.

Included Power Bank and Helmet Counterweight

The MINI2’s small internal battery is intended as emergency backup power and only provides approximately 30 minutes of operation by itself.

The unit is designed to operate primarily from the included external power bank. The power bank mounts toward the rear of the helmet, where it supplies power while also serving as a counterweight for the MINI2 and mounting hardware at the front.

With the external power bank connected, Nocpix lists up to seven hours of total operating time under stated conditions.

The external power bank is included with the MINI2 and is intended to be part of the normal helmet-mounted setup.

Helmet-Mounted or Handheld Operation

An integrated dovetail shoe allows the MINI2 H25 to connect with compatible night vision mounting systems.

The unit can be worn as a helmet-mounted monocular for hands-free use or removed and carried as a compact handheld thermal. Its aluminum housing measures 4.00 × 1.72 × 2.54 inches and weighs only 8.47 ounces.

The helmet, helmet mount, bridge and supplemental IR illuminator are sold separately.

Pair Two MINI2 Units with Dual-Link

Nocpix Dual-Link technology allows two MINI2 units to be paired together as a dual-monocular system.

One unit becomes the master controller, allowing compatible menus, palettes, image settings, digital zoom and other functions to be controlled from a single interface.

This gives users the option to start with one MINI2 H25 and add a second unit later.

Record Hunts and Field Observations

The MINI2 H25 includes onboard photo, video and audio recording with 32GB of internal storage.

Built-in Wi-Fi and support for the Nocpix app make it easier to access and share recorded images and video. The USB Type-C connection supports charging, external power and file transfer.

Compact Aluminum Housing

The MINI2 uses a lightweight aluminum housing with an IP67 protection rating.
