NOCPIX RICO 3 L35R Thermal Scope
The NOCPIX RICO 3 L35R Thermal Scope brings the advanced features of the RICO 3 platform to hunters looking for serious performance without the price of a 640-resolution optic. Built around a 384×288, 12-micron thermal sensor, 35mm F/1.0 objective lens, and 3X base magnification, the L35R is well suited for hog hunting, predator control, and hunters who need more magnification for open fields and longer shot opportunities.
This is far more than a basic 384 thermal scope. The RICO 3 L35R includes an integrated 1,600-yard laser rangefinder, onboard ballistic calculations, NOCPIX Reality+ image processing, a massive 2560×2560 AMOLED display, two quick-change batteries, recoil-activated recording, and a rugged magnesium-alloy housing.
For hunters who want the RICO experience at the most affordable price in the lineup, the L35R delivers an impressive combination of magnification, rangefinding, battery life, and field-ready features.
384×288 Thermal Sensor with ≤15 mK Sensitivity
The RICO 3 L35R uses a 384×288 NOCPIX thermal sensor with a 12-micron pixel pitch, 60 Hz refresh rate, and sensitivity rating of ≤15 mK.
NOCPIX’s Reality+ image processing works with the high-sensitivity sensor to improve contrast, control image noise, and reveal more usable detail in difficult conditions. The result is a clear, responsive thermal image that helps hunters locate and identify hogs, coyotes, and other predators throughout the night.
3X Base Magnification for Open Ground
A 35mm F/1.0 germanium objective lens gives the L35R a practical 3X native magnification. This makes it a strong option for hunters covering crop fields, pastures, powerlines, and other areas where targets may appear at greater distances.
The L35R also provides up to 4X digital zoom, giving the scope a total magnification range of 3X to 12X.
Its 7.5° × 5.7° field of view is narrower than the 640-resolution H35R, but that added base magnification gives hunters a larger starting image when engaging targets across open terrain.
Integrated 1,600-Yard Laser Rangefinder
The upgraded laser rangefinder is one of the biggest improvements found on the RICO 3 platform. The integrated LRF measures targets at distances of up to 1,600 yards with ±1-yard accuracy.
Hunters can choose between single-measurement and continuous-ranging modes. Continuous mode updates the displayed distance every second, helping you keep up with hogs or coyotes moving through a field.
The rangefinder is built directly into the scope’s housing, eliminating the need to carry and operate a separate handheld rangefinder.
Onboard Ballistic Calculator
The RICO 3 L35R combines its rangefinder with an onboard ballistic calculator to create a more complete thermal shooting system.
After creating a ballistic profile for your rifle and ammunition, the scope can use the measured distance and other entered data to calculate a ballistic correction. This gives hunters a more informed aiming solution when shot distances extend beyond their normal zero.
Ballistic calculations are available when using the rangefinder’s single-measurement mode.
Large 2560×2560 AMOLED Display
One of the most impressive features of the RICO 3 series is its oversized 1.03-inch circular AMOLED display. With a resolution of 2560×2560, the display creates a spacious and immersive viewing experience that feels more like looking through a traditional riflescope.
The high-resolution display provides plenty of room for the thermal image, reticle, rangefinder information, ballistic data, and other important details without making the screen feel crowded.
Two NBP-8 Batteries with Extended Runtime
The RICO 3 L35R includes two removable NBP-8 rechargeable batteries, with each battery providing up to 10 hours of operating time under normal conditions.
The quick-change battery system makes it easy to install a fresh battery without removing the scope from the rifle. Batteries can be charged directly through USB-C, while the scope’s magnetic charging port provides another convenient charging option.
With two batteries included, the L35R is equipped for extended nights in the field.
Recoil-Activated Recording and 64 GB of Storage
The RICO 3 L35R features onboard photo and video recording with 64 GB of internal storage. Its recoil-activated video system automatically saves footage when a shot is detected, recording approximately three seconds before the shot and continuing afterward.
Photos and videos can be transferred through USB-C or accessed through the NOCPIX mobile app. The scope’s Wi-Fi connection also allows hunters to view, download, share, and manage their footage from a compatible smartphone or tablet.
Built for Real Hunting Conditions
The RICO 3 L35R uses a durable magnesium-alloy housing and carries an IP67 weather-resistance rating. It is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 122°F and is recoil-rated for cartridges including .300 Win. Mag. and 7mm Rem. Mag.
At only 28.89 ounces, the L35R is the lightest model in the RICO 3 family. Its compact size works well on AR-platform rifles and bolt guns without creating an unnecessarily heavy or unbalanced setup.
The included dual-throw quick-detach mount makes installation and removal fast and convenient.
L35R or H35R: Which One Should You Choose?
The L35R and H35R share many of the same premium RICO 3 features, including the 35mm lens, 1,600-yard rangefinder, ballistic calculator, AMOLED display, Reality+ processing, recording system, and interchangeable batteries.
The primary difference is the thermal sensor and resulting optical performance.
The L35R uses a 384×288 sensor with 3X base magnification. It is the better choice for budget-conscious hunters who want a larger native image for open fields and longer-distance hunting.
The H35R steps up to a 640×512 sensor with 2X base magnification and a considerably wider field of view. It is designed for hunters who prioritize premium image detail, wider coverage, and greater flexibility across varying distances.

Southern Precision Outdoors’ Take
The NOCPIX RICO 3 L35R is built for the hunter who wants the features and feel of a premium thermal scope but doesn’t necessarily need a 640-resolution sensor.
Its 3X base magnification makes it especially appealing for hunters covering open fields, pastures, and longer shooting lanes. The fast 1,600-yard rangefinder, onboard ballistics, excellent battery system, and large circular display give the L35R capabilities that were previously reserved for much more expensive optics.
If you want the widest field of view and the added image detail of a 640 sensor, step up to the H35R. If you want a feature-packed thermal with useful base magnification and a more attainable price, the L35R may be the sweet spot in the RICO 3 lineup.
Every thermal we carry is backed by knowledgeable support from hunters who actually use this equipment. Contact Southern Precision Outdoors if you need help deciding whether the RICO 3 L35R is the right fit for your rifle and hunting conditions.
NOCPIX USA Five-Year Warranty
The NOCPIX RICO 3 L35R is backed by the NOCPIX USA five-year warranty, giving hunters long-term support from a U.S.-based service team. Owners should register their optic after purchase to ensure the warranty is properly connected to the unit and purchase date.
